Mother Nature sure is being unpredictable at the moment. What's with this cold weather? It's November for goodness sake. For the second day in a row, I have the fire lit. Almost unheard of to have a fire this late in November.
Perhaps though, I am getting soft in my old age.
I couldn't find our wee fox terrior yesterday. She usually follows me around the house and garden, but she wasn't to be seen. Until mid afternoon, when I decided I should make the bed. Then I discovered where she was hiding. (pic below). I've got half a mind to sneak back there myself this morning. At least it's warm under the covers!
But, I left fruit macerating in brandy last night, ready to make a Christmas cake today. I suppose I'd better get on with it. One positive there - the heat from the oven will help warm kitchen. Maybe we're in for a White Christmas this year?
